Hola Yaoundé: A Musical Evening to Promote Spanish Culture

Organized by the Spanish Embassy in Cameroon, the Hola Yaoundé concert brought together students and artists on the esplanade of the Majestic Cinema at the University of Yaoundé I. Through performances blending Cameroonian rhythms and Spanish sounds, the event aimed to promote the Spanish language and strengthen cultural exchange among Cameroonian youth.

Starting at 5:00 PM, this cultural event attracted many young people who came to enjoy an evening combining African rhythms and Spanish influences. The objective was clear: to foster the development of students while encouraging the popularization of the Spanish language among Cameroonian youth.

On stage, several Cameroonian and Spanish artists performed. Among them were Valdez Mbang, Ale Acosta, Cysoul, and the group Malora. DJ Roger also helped keep the atmosphere lively throughout the evening.

The students present sang, danced, and shared convivial moments, transforming the esplanade of the Majestic cinema into a true space for cultural exchange.

This event is part of a series of cultural initiatives organized in several African countries. After stops in Senegal, Mali, Benin, and Angola, Cameroon hosted this new edition nearly ten years after a similar event was held in Bamako, Mali.

Through music and encounters between artists from diverse backgrounds, the Hola Yaoundé concert offered students of the University of Yaoundé I a festive evening while strengthening cultural exchanges between Cameroon and Spain.
