The Ministry of Basic Education Unveils 2026 Exam Calendar

The Ministry of Basic Education has officially released the timetable for the 2026 national examination session, marking a critical period for 582,092 registered pupils across the country.

The examination season kicks off in early May with the practical components of the First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) on May 5, followed immediately by three days of physical education assessments. Mid-month, candidates will sit for the Common Entrance Examination on May 13.

The session culminates on June 16, 2026, a major date in the academic calendar where both the written phases of the CEP (Certificat d’Etudes Primaires) and the FSLC will take place simultaneously.
